Guatemala, Here We Come!
We are so excited to have another opportunity to partner with Thrivent Financial/Thrivent Builds and Habitat International this summer. Mrs. Miley (Spanish teacher) and 5 parents/chaperones are joining fourteen Cathedral students on another Guatemala adventure, departing August 1. This year's group will again be building smokeless stoves and latrines for families near San Lucas, Toliman. In anticipation of our arrival, these families are making brick by hand for the stoves, and building a base for the latrines we will build. Seven students who participated last year will be returning, along with 7 students new to the project. Stay tuned as we share the daily highlights of our adventure.
